Verification Services - Product Descriptions

ESS Core Verification Products

Education Verification Independently verifies education information disclosed by the consumer, such as school attended, dates of attendance and graduation, and the type of diploma/degree received. Third party services may be required, resulting is access fees, for which the customer will be charged.
Employment Verification Independently verifies employment information disclosed by the consumer, such as identity of present and past employers, dates of employment, title, reason for leaving, and eligibility for re-hire. Certain employers require the use of paid 3rd party databases to verify past employment information, and the customer will be charged these fees.
Reference Verification Personal/Professional references are contacted to gather additional information about an applicant concerning competence and fitness for the job in question. Personal references can help reveal the true character of an Employee Applicant as it relates to the job opening. Professional references can reveal the applicant?s work ethic, the ability to work well with others, and the qualities the applicant possesses that relates to the job in question.
Professional License Verification Verifies professional licensure status with state licensing boards. Information verified can include a license number, date obtained, expiration date, and current standing. We verify licenses in a wide variety of fields, including education, healthcare, and finance.

Industry Specific Verification Products

DOT - Drug and Alcohol History Verifies the consumer's drug and alcohol testing results for the past 3 years in accordance with the Department of Transportation Regulations. A special DOT consent is required to complete this search. In the event a past employer does not respond, ESS will provide verification of good faith attempts.  Price is per company verified.
DOT - Safety Performance History Investigates a driver's safety performance and accident history for the past 3 years in accordance with the Department of Transportation Regulations. A special DOT consent is required to complete this search. In the event a past employer does not respond, ESS will provide verification of good faith attempts.  Price is per company verified.
DOT Recertification Verifies the consumer's drug and alcohol testing results and related matters for the past 3 years in accordance with the Department of Transportation Regulations. A special DOT consent is required to complete this search. At a minimum one solid attempt per day is made to contact the employer for 10 consecutive business days. On the 10th day, the ESS Verification Researcher will submit with the report a Good Faith Form as proof of contact attempts
FMCSA - PSP The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Search(FMCSA) or the Pre-Employment Screening Program (PSP) search helps employers make informed hiring decisions by providing access to a commercial driver's five year crash and three year inspection history from the FMCSA Motor Carrier Management Information System (MCMIS). Records are available for commercial drivers and companies conducting pre-employment screening for the carrier industry.
FMCSA Clearinghouse Full Searches and reports information available on a CDL Driver through the FMCSA Clearinghouse. Full queries will prompt the consumer to sign an FMCSA consent within their driver portal.
FMCSA Clearinghouse Limited Searches and reports information available on a CDL Driver through the FMCSA Clearinghouse. Limited queries with reportable information will require a full query.  ESS will contact users for confirmation to order and process the Full query.
FMCSA Clearinghouse Limited + Full Searches and reports information available on a CDL Driver through the FMCSA Clearinghouse. Queries with reportable information will automatically prompt the Full query and consent process to the driver.
FMCSA Clearinghouse Pre-Employment Searches and reports information available on a CDL Driver through the FMCSA Clearinghouse. Pre-Employment queries will prompt the consumer to sign an FMCSA consent within their driver portal.
Insurance Verification Search Verifies that an auto insurance policy is currently in effect for a given VIN.
International  Verification
Services
 International education, employment and reference verification services based on information disclosed by the consumer. International verifications require a special consent form to be completed by the consumer. Customer will pay any international fee that is associated with the search.
National Practitioner Database Searches a commercial database containing information regarding the credentials of health care providers and practitioners. Since this is a database search, results are not published; rather, the search is used as a means by which to identify those sources in which to search for relevant, reportable records.
Nurse Aid Registry Searches state-maintained registries containing criminal history and other adverse information regarding healthcare workers and reports convictions and adverse information within the last 7 years, subject to legal limitations. This is not available in every state.
U.S. Military Active Duty Status Search Searches the Service Members' Civil Relief Act Website, maintained by the United States military, and reports the past history and present status of a member of the military.
